How do you replace a starter in a 1997 F-350 Turbo Pickup?
There is not an adjustment on a starter except the engagement to the flywheel. That is done with the shims supplied.
Disconnect the - battery cable Raise and support vehicle Disconnect the wiring at top of starter Remove mounting bolts Remove starter
It is underneath the vehicle usually on the passenger side and will be bolted to the block near the bell housing. The front of the starter will actually be in the bell housing.

I have a Camero Strada 1990 - 350 chev soft clutch and there is no way the starter can be replaced wijhtout lifting the motor. Not all that hard though if you have a chain block and something strong enough to hold it all up. Paul B - Medowie.

yes with some modifing you need motor mounts and headers you can buy the kit but with a little work you can do it. the trans will not fit you need one for a small block Chevy

It is screwed into the lower passenger side of the engine block just in front of the starter. It is round with an electric wire plugged into it.
The power steering pump on a 1970 Chevrolet 350 is replaced by removing the v-belts, disconnecting the pressure lines, unbolting the pump, and removing it from the vehicle. The new pump can then be put in place and bolted up.
