How do you replace tape deck equalizer in a 1990 Chevrolet pickup Silverado trim level?
Take a flat head screwdriver and pry out the bottom part of the dash that the tape deck is housed in. Then push down on the top half while lifting the bottom outward, like a wing. There's two hinges at the top that'll pop right out.
From there it's just two hex screws to remove the actual unit, then two wire ports. One in the back, and one that you'll actually have to remove the top of the tape deck housing to access and unplug.
