Check under the radio.
The 1995 Ford Explorer ECU module can be found on the outside of the air filter housing. The ECU module will be on the back of the housing.
there is not a ignition module on these like earlier fords, no distributor-cam and crank sensors deliver information to the ECU and it determines spark by the feedback from these sensors. the ECU is located directly above the drivers feet, behind the panel.
ecu? Do you mean ecm, Engine Control Module?
The engine ECU are located under the center of the instrument panel.
The ECU , electronic control unit sends and receives messages from the sensors in the car. Disconnect the battery and look for a silver rectangular module in the engine compartment. Lift the locking tab and pull, unbolt the screws to release the old ECM.
The ecm is the engine control module. I'm not sure what a ecu is.
Which module are you looking for? The ECU is under the hood right in front of the black fuse box.
ECU is the acronym for Electrical Control Unit and coupled with ETWIS it is the model name for a computer module for a Kia Sportage or Sedona.
Do you mean ecm or pcm? If so it stands for engine control module or power control module.
Hello The Galaxy 1.9 tdi Ecu is located behind the instrument panel, under the bulb failure control module.
The ECU, or electronic control module, is found on the passenger side of the 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. The ECU is hidden behind the passenger kick panel underneath the carpet.
ECM, (Engine Control Module, Electronic Control Module) PCM, (Powertrain Control Module, Power Control Module) ECU, (Engine Control Unit, Electronic Control Unit).
You have to remove the lower panel of the drivers side dash, look up and remove the black plastic clip that holds the ecu and pull it down so you can get at the bolt, I think it's 10mm and that removes the wiring from the ecu. When that is removed you have to remove the black plastic filler cap on the back of the ecu and install whatever chip you bought and replace the unit.
You bring it to a mechanic..
replace ECU with identical ECU
THE MAF sensor is located immediately next to the air filter box; it will be mounted right to the side/top of your air intake "hose" and have a wiring harness connected to it. Toi remove and clean, disconnect the wiring harness, remove/unbolt the MAF sensor, and clean gently with CRC "MAF CLEANER" spray (gently spraying from several inches away). Allow to dry, and repeat the sprayout. Allow to dry, remount and reconnect the wiring harness. Remember with I30's as with most ECU (electronic control units) it will take 50 or 60 miles of driving to update the ECU memory with new data, unless you have a diagnostics unit to reset the ecu. (Disconnecting the battery may or may not work depending upon the condition of the ecu battery backup)
If you have already cleaned the throttle body and it has not cleared up the problem, then you may as well price out a idle control unit and an ecu(engine control unit).the idle control unit shorts out and takes the ecu with it!Ecu can be rebuilt, there are companies on eBay for $100 .
where is the engine controle module located in a 1995 buick lesabre
Beside the ECU under the passender side carpet
If its an automatic tranny then its in the same area as the ECU behind the stereo
It's part of the ECU(main engine control module) on this model.
The ignition module for a peugeot 106 is in the engine compartment. Facing the car with the hood open, the ECU is behind the headlamp nearest your left hand.
The ECU part for this car runs $150 to $300. To replace it, it can run the cost up another $100 to $200 if a person does the replacement at a shop.
