How do you replace the alternator on a 1993 Chrysler LeBaron?

You will first need to loosen the serpentine belt in order to remove it from the drive pulley. After that, it is bolted to the engine in 2 locations, which should be rather obvious, then remove electrical connections.

The sensor in the distributor is the crankshaft position sensor.

It is under the plastic covers on the passenger side of the engine.

There is no fan belt it is an electric fan. Are you referring to the serpentine belt?

If you mean the radiator drain plug.. its at the bottom of the radiator on the left hand side...

It is behind the engine mount on the front of the block.

I have the same issue. I would look at the over drive sensor/module as the culprit

Remove the belt from your 1993 Chevy G 20 alternator. Remove the alternator wiring harness. Remove the retaining bolts from the alternator. Reverse the process to install the new alternator.
