This may sound kind of silly, but are you sure there is indeed a light in there? My Sunfire is older than yours, so this might not be relative, but, as dumb as I am, when I first bought the car, I kept looking at that darned console, hoping to see some indication of what gear I was in. I took me a while to realize that the shifter postions are just painted on the console, and that the only "real" gear indication was that lovely lighted display on the dash! Cheers, FriPilot Actually, there is a light, 194 bulb. Hard to get to, if it is important, you might want to take it to the dealer for bulb replacement. Jimbo_55
