∙ 15y agoJust had to do this. At the top outside edge of the headlight assembly, where it meets the turn signal assembly, there is a space you can put a finger through and push down a plastic tab. It's not hard to see if you know it is there. With the tab pushed down, the whole turn signal assembly can be pulled forward and out.

∙ 9y agoA headlight bulb on a 1982 Volvo 240 is accessed through the engine bay. Lift the hood and safely prop it open. Locate the headlight housings and pull the old bulbs off. Install the new lights.

Pull up and wiggle the tabs to remove them, this will release the headlight assembly. You can now wiggle the headlight assembly out to gain access to the signal bulb socket for replacement.
