How do you replace the fuel filter located on a 1994 Nissan Sentra?
The fuel filter is on the drivers side of the engine, next to and below the brake fluid reservoir. It is held in place by a u-type clamp - you can just pull it out. Next, unscrew the rackets that are holding the hoses on the top and bottom as much as you can - this can take some manipulation. Then, remove the top and bottom hoses, being sure to be prepared for some fuel spillage. I used a vise grips clamped on the hose (not too tightly) to help wrench off the hoses.

It would be nice to know the year of your Nissan Altima. For Nissan 2000 Altima GXE the air filter is located right next to the battery. Just push off the 4 clips that hold the top of the filter housing and pull the top off just enough to remove/replace the air filter. Close it and and pull the clips back on.
the fuel filter is located on the drivers side of the car against the firewall. remember to pull the fuse for the fuel pump, then start the car to release the pressure in the system, when the car dies, then disconnect the lines to the fuel filter otherwise be prepared for a gasoline shower. good luck!
