Remove the exhaust at the flange in front of the tank, drop rear exhaust, remove fuel filler neck and fuel lines that protrude from back of tank at the top, remove 2 tank straps, drop tank, remove pump

One can change the fuel pump in a 1998 Saturn SL2 by taking it to a local Saturn dealership for the original fuel pump part from the Saturn manufacturer.

the pump was in the gas thank you need to remove the tank to replace it be careful whit spark there is some gas in it
