Replacing the Headlights on a Mirage

Your headlights are actually small halogen bulbs screwed into the rear of the headlamp Housed by a rubber garmet that needs to be removed before you read the rest of this guys half-assed explination. Raise the hood and you will see the connector on the rear of each lamp. There is a round ring that you'll turn 1/4 turn then pull back, then the connector also turns 1/4 turn. pull the connector and bulb out as an assembly, and carefully remove the bulb from the connector. the bulb holder has a part number cast in it( 9004 etc.)It's smart to replace both bulbs if you can afford it, they're pretty tough and you probably won't have the car long enough to ever replace them again. by the way, it,s said that we should keep our fingers off the actual glass bulb itself, something about the oil in our fingers damaging the bulb.
