I have a 2002 Chevy SilerRado 1500 Pick up Truck, 2 wheel drive. My broblem is with the heater not coming on. I checked the fuse Box on the drivers side of the dash board label HTR/COOLING. The fuse was ok. I would like to know how to locate the Heater Core and replace it if possible. I haven't checked the thermostat. thanks in advance
The heater core is located behind/around the center of the of the firewall . It is around $300 to replace at a shop and not recommended to do on your own unless u have proper equipment and know how. You will know if your heater core is damaged when u pour coolant in and it drains out of a rubber elbow around the left central area of the firewall. DONT NOT DRIVE WITH BROKEN HEATER…
