You have to remove the console (instrument panel and area around radio and heater/AC). then remove all the panel below..then you can see where the core is located. The hoses and such need to be removed from inside the engine compartment. From what I read the hoses are easier to reach from under the car.
Good luck..Im about to do mine. The above is what I read from the instruction book I bought. The heater blower for a 2002 Chevy Silverado is mounted under the dash. It is on the passenger side, in the heater housing.
how do I change the heater blower on a f350 2002
The Heater/Blower Relay is on the blower motor housing under the dash in the passenger compartment on 1999-2002 models
First check the coolant level, a coolant leak would cause a heater to stop working- assuming you mean the blower is blowing but it isn't hot. A stuck thermostat will also cause you problems with your heat.
bad blower resistor
It is under the dash on the passenger side.
BLOWER MOTOR RESITAR SWITCH
Most likely a failed blower resistor.
my 1999 winstar was doing this and it was the blend door
under the dash below the glove box
You can unplug the blower motor and run a jumper wire to test the blower motor. If it is grounded through the plug you'll have to run a ground wire to it also. Blower Motor tested good. The Problem was the Blower Motor Controller which was located on the firewall just below the Heater Hoses. Thanks for responses to question.
