Not sure this can be answered as they quit making Berettas in 1996. You ask about a '98.

Recently replaced the heater core in my 1991 Beretta GT. Took all day, two people to replace a $20.00 part. They steering column had to lay to the floor. The complete dash pad/panel had to be removed. Once that was done the rest was basic and easy.

changed a heater core in 93 baretta,was told to drop steering and so forth,honestly after looking,its under the center of the dash and was the easiest and fastest i have ever changed a heater core me and a friend changed it replaced it,went and got the new one in under 3 hours
