Next , while holding the pig tail (of wires) behind the mirror,pull up and wiggle wire harness entering the door (about knee level) until the pig tail begains to move you will be allowed enough wire to replace mirror &w/o removing trim panel and saving alot of time and money you'd pay to shops ......................

It's not easy. There are five plastic retainer clips that have to be released to allow the cover on the front side of the mirror assembly to be removed. Two on top, Two on the botton, and one on the drivers side (near botton of side). Do this on a warm day when the plastic is more workable. You can only access them from the mirror side between the mirror frame and the mirror assembly body. It's not easy. When you finally are able to get the cover off the bulb is a snap to replace. Just turn the bulb assembly 90 degrees and it lifts out. Good Luck.
