How do you replace the outside passenger mirror on a 1996 Ford Thunderbird?

i had to do this not too long ago. you have to get off the door panel....lots of fun. first you have to pop off the light cover on the door. theres a reallllly long screw behind that. next, take off the panel that was the window control on it. use a screw driver, but be careful to not scratch the plastic too much. thewres a bunch of wiring right behind that so unclip it and put it out of the way. just start unscrewing things and the rest will come easily.the main door panel is held on by a series of clips. just pry back the panel w/a screwdriver or something like that. if a clip breaks its ok trust me!the rest is just playing w/hard to reach wires and stuff.good luck!

Most mirrors are attached with screws on the outside of the door. Otherwise you have to take the door panel off to get to the nuts.

Remove the inside door panel of your 1993 Chevrolet Lumina. Remove the passenger mirror wiring harness. Remove the passenger mirror retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new passenger mirror.
