*Removal: *1. Disconnect the sensor cable connector from the harness. If the sensor cable is held by brackets or clamps, release them. *2. Remove the retaining bolt holding the sensor to the differential. *3. Remove the sensor straight out of its mount and protect the tip from impact and abrasion. *Installation: *4. Install the sensor making sure that it is firmly seated and not crooked in its mount. *5. Tighten the bolt to 14 ft. lbs. *6. Reinstall the clips or brackets and connect the cable.....

the speed sensor is located on the trans housing. there is a cable that runs from the firewall to the transmission and goes into the speed sensor. there is a clip in the speed sensor at the end of the cable. pull the clip and the cable should come right out. than use a 10mm socket at the end of an extensiona dn unbolt it. there is only one bolt. after you poull the bolt out than lift up on the speed snsor and there you go. good luck.
