hello, i have a 1996 Cherokee sport..
there are about four screws or so in the plastic piece on the dashboard. you will want to take them out and remove the entire plastic piece from the dash. (you may have to remove the steering column cover to avoid breaking the plastic) not to worry, it only takes a torques bit and its only two screws.. Removing all of this should grant you access to the radio and the screws that hold it in.
take out the screws and remove the radio...ALL DONE! putting a new CD player or other electronics may not be so easy! drop me an email if you have more questions or just let me know if it works! hope i could help..

I need to know what year/make,and model and if you are trying to put an aftermarket radio in it.
Stock gear ratios will vary for a Jeep Cherokee depending upon the size of the motor. However, 3.55 and 3.73 are two common gear ratios for the Jeep Cherokee.
If the radio is not working on a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport it might be a blown fuse. Try the CD player to see if that works. If the CD player works then it might be an antenna problem.
