There are two bolts that hold the tail lights in place. First, open your tailgate. If you have a bedliner, the two screws are behind it. If you have a bed extender, the bolts that secure the taillight are the same bolts that secure the brackets for the bed extender. Refer to your owners manual, page 8-35. Good luck.
I believe you have to unscrew a couple bolts on the inside of the truck bed to get the taillight assembly off the truck then you can unscrew the light sockets and replace the burnt out bulb
how can i replace a brakelight bulb on a 2002 nissan frontier?

how to change a taillight in a 2008 Nissan maxima
how do you replace a taillight on a Honda 2002 Civic?
Remove bedliner( if applicable). You must remove the taillight framing to get to bulbs. There are two screws located behind the taillight, that must be unscrewed to loosen the taillight frame from the truck body. Remove the two screws via the truckbed side and framing will loosen and bulbs can be replaced.
By asking acablest to do it.
Take out the two screws and replace one or both of the lamps.
It cost me less than $3 if you talking about the bulb...not sure about the cover too
unscrew it and screw in the new bulb
There are two bolts inside of bed unbolt to remove taillight. Remove bulb, push down slightly and turn. Replace with new and reassemble.
there are two screws or bolts that hold rear light assembly located on inside of bed (10mm wrench) remove these and the complete light assembly comes out. do not remember which light is taillight but which ever one isn't working is the one you replace. There are 3 bulb retainers in the rear light assembly. Turn whichever bulb retainer you need to replace counter clockwise and it will come out and bulb is then accessible. If you are having constant problems with this, you may have the same problem I had and there is a recall on taillight assembly and Nissan will replace it for free. just had mine done.
