Remove rad cap, place catch pan under engine, drain rad at petcock or remove lower hose end whichever is easier ,loosen the two bolts on the thermostat housing ,( at the bottom of the large top rad hose) , observe how the stat sits before you take it out, pull out, scrape old gasket, clean surface and dry, install new stat, gasket with any brand of gasket sealer, reinstall bolts,( carefully tighten as to not crack the housing!) hoses etc., add coolant, start motor with cap off and run at idle. The rad will only take a small amount of coolant until the stat opens;this will take 15 minutes or so. Add as necessary. Done. I hope this helps you. Mark
