∙ 2005-11-21 19:52:21Remove rad cap, place catch pan under engine, drain rad at petcock or remove lower hose end whichever is easier ,loosen the two bolts on the thermostat housing ,( at the bottom of the large top rad hose) , observe how the stat sits before you take it out, pull out, scrape old gasket, clean surface and dry, install new stat, gasket with any brand of gasket sealer, reinstall bolts,( carefully tighten as to not crack the housing!) hoses etc., add coolant, start motor with cap off and run at idle. The rad will only take a small amount of coolant until the stat opens;this will take 15 minutes or so. Add as necessary. Done. I hope this helps you. Mark

∙ 2005-11-21 19:52:21how do replace the thermostat on a 1999 mazda b2500 truck?
Front of the engine block on left side, below the alternator. If you replace thermostat, it is easier to replace entire housing. When you purchase one it will all come as one unit.
No it will not.
Need to know engine size and year.
Sounds like you need to replace the thermostat.
The thermostat is located in the water pump behind the timing belt plate cover. the thermostat is in the bottom rad hoase where it conects to the motor.
how long does it take to replace a carburetor on a chevy truck?
replace heater core in a 1991 Chevy work truck 1500
if its a305,or 350 it is located intake by the thermostat housing.or in the t-stat housing
the thermostat should be on the upper raditor hose on the intake
It is right beside of the thermostat housing, right side of it. Just follow the top radistor hose to the engine and it will clamp to the thermostat housing.
Yes there the same.
