What motor? what year? Most are fairly simple with a couple of bolts and a hose clamp. One helpfull hint to retain the new thermostat in place during re-assembly is to fish a string through the top (hose side) of the thermostat, then run both ends of the string through the housing. Seat the thermostat and tighten the string. Fold the string over the outside of the housing where the hose is installed and tape in place with electrical tape. Install new gasket in place and tighten the housing bolts to required torque, remove the tape, pull one end of the string to remove it from the housing and then finish by placing the hose on the housing, clamp securely and fill with coolant at 50/50 mix.

It's an 2002 4x4 with 4.6L
