Drain about a gallon of coolant from the radiator Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine--should be connected to housing secured by 2 or 3 bolts Remove housing and make note how thermostat is installed Remove thermostat Clean both sides of housing Replace gasket and themostat Re-fill radiator--Start car and check for leaks Bring up to normal operating temperature with heater on and re-check coolant level
