How do you reset a maintenance light on a 1995 Acura Integra?
The maintenance light can be reset by pressing the red reset button on the right side below the ignition area, pass the panel.
If you don't mind looking under the steering column, you should be able to see it.
there is a little switch under the dashboard on the drivers side under the steering wheel just flip it and it should go off
You will find a switch under the steering wheel area. It may be a black retangular plastic unit, with a blue push switch. In order to turn off the Maintenance Required signal, you must first, start your car on, then click the switch a couple of times until the Maintenance Required signal turns off. If you can't find it by touch, find it using a flashlight.
There is a small square button underneath the dash just to the right of the steering collumn. With the key in the ignition, in the off position, press the button for 7-10 seconds, then turn the key to ACC. This should reset the maintenance required light. It is a gimmick to get you to take your vehicle to the dealership so they make money off of you for resetting it.
Depending on the mileage on the car, there are some maintenance requirements to be done by you, or the car dealer. The maintenance light will stay "on" until these maintenace issues are completed. Your owner's manual also tells you how to reset the maintenance light, and outlines the maintenance required per the mileage on the car.
it is a signal. basically a built in timer after 2500 miles it flashes and at 3000 miles it becomes solid, its a reminder that you need your oil changed. There is a button under the steering wheel on the right side that will reset the light simply press the button turn ignition to the on position and hold for ten seconds the light will return after 2500 more miles
Key off, hold select button, then turn key on, but don't start engine, wait approximately 15 seconds until maintenance required light stops flashing. Turn key back off. Turn on again without starting if reset is successful maintenance light will only appear once. I had to hold both the select and reset botton. I had to hold both buttons as well. Maybe it is the reset button that needs to be held. I will find out…
There is a button beneath the dashboard to the right of the steering wheel roughly in line with the gas pedal. If you reach under and feel around you can hit it while sitting in the seat, although until you know what you're feeling for it may be easier to stick your head under there and look for it. You'll have to hold the button down for a few seconds while the car is on…
It's a warning signal that shows the transmission gear need maintenance. That may be a mechanical or electronic problem, first of all, clean up the gear box by replacing the transmission fluid to see if it can reset the light blinks. If not, then be the sensor. Any other adnormal sound during acceleration? If so, then may be the aging effect of the gear box that will cost so much.
The answer below is the correct answer...I just used it on my 04 MDX. Press and hold the select and reset buttons on the right side of the guage cluster. Turn the ignition to run (II), the light will flash once, then stay on steady. Hold the buttons with the ignition in run until the light turns off.
