Disconnect the battery for 15imutes
The owners manual from my 2010 Ford Edge Limited states that you must drive the vehicle for 2 minutes at over 20 mph before the warning light will reset.
On most carss to reset the dummy lights you need to unhook the battery and wait aboout 10 min then rehook it and this should reset the system.reset check engine lightYou need a cose reader that can reset it, auto parts stores sell them and some will hook one up to check codes and reset for free in hopes you will buy the part. AnswerHi, Try looking for a switch that should be located under the left side of the instrument panel. You may need to remove the small plastic panel under the steering column to make this a bit easirr.Sometimes a switch can be hard to see so a good light and a willingness to bend backwards to see under the instrument panel.I alsop put a blanket over the door edge and seat tracks so I don't get them in my back.
