You insert the code with the radio presets. Just push the reset # that corresponds to the radio preset. If you have locked the radio up just leave it on for a few hours and it will reset so you can enter the code again.

I have a 1994 Sierra...maybe it's the same. Turn the radio power off. Then press the set button. Then press the volume and/or scan buttons to change hour and mins. I don't recall which does hours and which does mins. But...the radio power is definitely off in order to set it. Hope this helps!
