Unhook the battery for a minute to reset the PCM.
You don't. Unhook the battery for a minute. That will reset it.
NEED COLOR CODE FOR RADIO SPEAKER WIRE 93 MERCURY
i need to reset the code for my 1994 BMW 325i can anyone help other than an authorized dealer which is about 100 miles from where i live
You can't. It's factory set and cannot be changed.
Disconnect the neg battery cable for about 30 seconds; this will reset the computer. If there is a existing problem the code will reset however. Get yourself a HAYNES manual to identify the code and problem.
You need to repair the cause of the code that turned the light on. You can then reset the light with a scan tool or a battery disconnect.
After repairing the cause of the code, you can clear it with a scan tool.
Need a code reader that can plug into car's diag port (OBD1) preferably after repair or it will come on again. Find out why the light is on-it could be serious or get expensive if you ignore. You may also be able to reset by disconnecting batt for 30 mins, but will only be temporary.
facebook reset code
It should not need a reset, other than if it has an anit theft radio. In that case the radio would be inop until a code is entered.
you can't you NEED to have the old code to reset it!! You don't NEED the old code you need the master code which is used to reset the given code! It is usually located under the dash on the driver's side on the piece of plastic that encloses your hood release. There is a small sticker with 5 numbers (provided that nobody has removed it) that is the master code. If you need further help drop me a line.
