Press and hold the "Off" and "Warmer" to get into the system, once there use the fan/blower motor controls as follows: the High Fan button for "Yes" and the Low Fan for "No." Scroll through to you get to any A/C Codes. It should eventually ask "Clear Codes" and hit the High Fan button for Yes. Once cleared the A/C Compressor should come on, providing nothing else is wrong. Check under the body at the rear and on top of the rear crossover between the rear tires. That is where the '97 is located.
