I have a 98 Buick park avenue and we were told to disconnect the battery for a few minutes then hook back up. May take up to fifteen minutes to reset. Just try this and see if it works for you.
I took a strong magnet and placed it over the fuel gauge needle and rotated it counter clockwise and it went back into the correct position. Do this with the car key out with the engine off. Worked great for me.

There is no reset button for the fuel gauge. Something is either wrong with the gauge or the sending unit in the tank.
