go to settings>language and keyboard>select input method> in there choose 1 from chinese diopen, samsung keypad, swype, . .to change the keypad type, settings>language and keyboard> in the lower screen tap samsung keypad>keypad types> the choose you want,, either qwerty keypae, 3x4 keypad, handwriting box 1 and hanwriting box 2. . its up to you to select. . .
if you have the code enter it then press C then enter new code press C again the green light will flash 4 times to confirm. if you lost the code you need the ecu reset, google this, there is companys that do it i think for around £50 if you have the engine running you can disable the pad by pulling of its plu under it this will disable the key pad immobiliser.
One explanation for this is that you have a bad wire in your wire harness. go to o' Reillys and buy a wire tester and test the wires in you wiring harness. NO...if you have a keypad on door, water has gotten in and shorted out keypad causing conductivity between keypad numbers. keypad needs replacing. TSB for this.

When you "enable" your number lock key, when you press the number buttons on the numeric keypad it will type numbers. When you "disable" your number lock key the number keys on your numeric keypad will no longer come up but the keypad will return to its default settings. Certain numbers do certain things when the number lock key is disabled.
