My IP address disappeared after the Norton tech tried to fixed my antivirus. Now he says I have to have that fixed (which it worked before he came online) before the virus protector can be fixed. So, how do I restore my IP address.

∙ 14y agoIf you get a new ip address each time you connect to the internet that means you are having a dynamic ip address, so you can easily reset it by just switching off you DSL modem or disconnecting the dialup internet and then reconnect the internet or restart you DSL modem. So you will get a new ip address. But if your ISP have provided you a static ip address then it is not possible for you to reset it.
