It depends on how you wiped it. If you just deleted a lot of stuff, you can go to time machine and go back to the date you want. but if you pushed the wipe button, I'm not sure if you can do that. It also depends on how much stuff you put in a cloud. If you use Google docs, all your documents are fine, but if you use microsoft word, probably not. For Microsoft Word, there is a cloud service called onedrive that works very nicely.
Restore it, then all info wiped off even passcode.
No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No. The System Restore discs for a new iMac are specific to that model only.
You need the Mac OS X Install DVD the computer came with, if you do not have these then you'll have to call AppleCare to order some replacement discs for your computer.
As long as you and your friend use the same version of Mac OS X and both use MacBook's compatible to the operating system used, you may use your Mac OS X disc to restore your friends MacBook. However you may not reset their administrator password with your disk, they will need their own if they plan to use your disk for that purpose.
Eiether bring it to your local Apple Store and get Genius Bar to see it for further formating, or virus removal. If you have a backup, please restore it with your latest or old backup.
