Well . . . you're supost to heat it up in the microwave for 2mins and put it on the BBQ to lightly crust it. (it shouldn't go hard though) ANS 2 I like to leave the husks on mine but soak the ears in water for about an hour before I put them on the grill. The water keeps the husk from burning before the kernels get up to temperature. When you see the outside of the husk start to turn black pull them off the grill.
You can boil, steam, bake, or grill it. Personally, I prefer grilled. If you want to do it this way, then you can put the cob in tinfoil with some butter and then rap it up and stick it on the grill for a few minutes.
Oven roasted corn on the cob involves cooking at 350F for around 30 minutes. The corn should be in its husk or wrapped in aluminum foil. Corn is usually rubbed with butter or seasoned butter prior to roasting. (Just peel back the husk, rub with butter and recover with the husk.) This method can be used for basically any recipe for grilled corn on the cob (substituting oven roasting for grilling.)
You can put the cob in tinfoil with some butter and then rap it up and stick it on the grill for a few minutes. When you see that it is starting to get really squishy and a little black, then it is done.
Leave the husk on, soak it covered in water for an hour, leave it on the grill and turn it every five minutes or so. When the outer husk dries and begins to turn black, they're done. That'd be about 20 to 25-min on a medium heat.
the healthiest way to cook corn is to boil them till soft. Do not peel the skin, boil with it... not much nutrient will get wash away It when its warm. Add a little bit of butter if you want to..
There are so many different ways in which you can cook corn on the cob. Here are a few useful methods:
1. Grilling : using grilling method to cook the corn on the cob is one of the nicest ways. First clean off the corn with water. You can leave the husk without removing it when grilling the corn. Just removes those which are loose. Once done, start soaking the corn in water for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, start preparing the grill by heating the coal.
