Certainly not every day, but if you have to travel with the cat then see your vet and they will give you the right sedative to give your cat (which goes by age and weight.) It is kinder to sedate a cat that is not use to traveling (if you are moving or going on a holiday) than not. Most sedatives prescribed by a vet onlyare quite safe.
Don't try to sedate your bunny!! Rabbits bodies are very fragile all together and if their system is disrupted it could be fatal. If you seriously need to sedate your bunny, take it to a veterinarian and they will try to help.
I would call your vet and ask, but I would say NO. Do not attempt to give your cat any human drugs. They come in human doses and may potentially be poisonous or deadly.
ALWAYS consult your vet! If kitty is scared, try putting him/her in a carrier and put a blanket over it. Try to keep the environment as quiet as possible.
Dark, quiet places will help to calm your cat down.
You cannot sedate your cat without paying for a vet. If you would like a light sedation for things such as traveling, you can ask your vet about using Acepromozine. I use them for one of my animals during thunderstorms. It is a light sedation pill which is fairly inexpensive. It helps calm the cat, but it does not make the cat sleep.
Through your vet. Usually if you put the cat in a cat carrier (you can buy these second-hand at dog grooming places at a considerable lower cost and then sanitize it) there is no need for sedation before taking the cat to the vets. If you are going on a plane, some planes allow the pets under your seat (don't know if this still applies so you'd have to ask). If traveling by car or have the cat in a camper then your vet will know how much your cat will need and how long the sedation will last.
To calm a cat, you must make sure that you are calm as well. Sometimes you have to give time to a cat to cool off its aggressiveness. Most cats are calm by nature, but try to figure out what has disturbed it. This can be noises, people, new places, etc.
put on some lingerie or were you talking about seduce or sedate????
You can use a tranquilizer of some sort.
The next dart should be enough to sedate our Miss Kitty...Just sedate me now!
That is the proper spelling of "sedate" (calm, or to tranquilize).
Santa is actually quite sedate in the off-season.
The abstract noun forms of the verb to sedate are sedation and the gerund, sedating. The abstract noun form of the adjective sedate is sedateness.
Stimulate?
Example: when you have surgery, they sedate you so that you don't move. Tranquilizers are used to sedate dangerous animals. Good enough?
I believe many pediatricians wish they could sedate their patients like veterinarians can.
Sedate activities are activities that do not involve significant movement or motion. Examples include reading, watching TV, and resting. The opposite of a sedate activity would be one such as running, walking, aerobics and performing household chores.
