Answer Plant the seed in the spring and you have a pumpkin 100 days after.

====

It depends on the size of the pumpkin that you plan on growing and growing season and the amount of nutrients in the ground. Most [pumpkins under ideal conditions grow to maturity between 100 and 120 days. It is better to start growing a pumpkin seed indoors maybe near May 1st and put them in direct sunlight outdoors sometime close to the end of May, Be patient and also try to keep the pumpkin [patch free from weeds the best that you can.

Sow the seeds in spring into a hilled up mound of rich soil or compost. Sow 3 seeds in each mound and later remove all but the strongest plant. Space the mounds about six feet apart and place the seed one inch deep. Water regularly and thoroughly to develop good fruit. After the fruit have been harvested, leave them to sit in the field for a few weeks before storing.

To save pumpkin seeds t grow you must clean all of the pumpkin from the seeds and put them on a dry towel and allow them to dry. Turning them once in a while not to stick to the towel. When they are totally dry, put them in an envelope or something else that can "breathe. Not plastic containers. Pumpkin seeds can last a couple of years as long as they are not wet or stored in a lighted area. Every year that a pumpkin seed is saved it loses about 10% of possibility to grow.

Yes, assuming the ground is fertile, the water is sufficient but not excessive, and there are no pests to eat the young plants.
