I don't suggest using Google Translator or Yahoo Translator. Google is wrong so often that I've personally had *a certain website* email me about inappropriate messages/comments, when I've only used the translators as a way to find out something about a country or whatever.
This sent me on a search for a REAL translator that was free. I found one that I've been using for about a year now, and found that its incredibly accurate for words and reforming sentences in that language. It translates so many languages, as well. And what I really like about it, is that is a 'back translation', where you click the box, input what you want to say in English, the language you want it translated into, and when you click translate, it shows that language and exactly what their words and sentence structure turned into, back into English...
You'll also need to know which language they speak, as there are 30 different 'languages' of the Polynesian people. If they speak French, then "Have a nice trip." is "Ayez un voyage agréable." -- "Have a great trip." translates into "Have a big trip." in this language.
To say have a great trip in French it's " Ayez un grand voyage!"

Have a great trip! Can't wait to hear about it when you return.

It is proper to say 'take a trip': We plan to take a trip to Africa in January.

have a great trip = Ka Huaka`i Maika`
There are many different Polynesian languages, so there are many possible answers to this question. Perhaps the best-known of these is Hawaiian, where the word for both hello and goodbye is "aloha."
