How do you lock your belkin54g wireless router so other users cannot access it?

open your browser and type in http://192.168.2.1 and this will open your router settings. go to the security tab and it will either come up with your security settings or ask you to login. if it asks for your password, the default belkin password is nothing. just click continue and your password setting will come up. from there you can change your password, encryption type, security mode and guest password.

This is the default address for your router and lets you access the security configuration. For more information go to

The control panel can be accessed by obtaining the router's default gateway.
To obtain the router's default gateway please perform the following:
- Run
- In the box type ''cmd''
- A black screen should pop-up, once that is up type in ''ipconfig''
- The default gateway should then be displayed where it says ''default gateway''.
Once you've obtained the default gateway, open up your internet browser and type the default gateway into the address bar (ex:http://0.0.0.0).
