alright dude i could be wrong but i don't think i am.
if timing chain is good then their really isn't a way to set time
your truck uses coil packs crank sensor and i think maybe even camshaft sensor.
if you are having driveability issues then maybe check fuel pressure
ive also seen ignition module display same symptoms as off time.
also a cracked crank sensor or cam sensor could be cause.
but if im right you could buy computer progam to set advance curves but all timing is adjusted by onboard computer.
if your timing chain jumped a tooth youd know it.
so doubt that has anything to do with it.

You don't! The computer, crank and cam sensors control timing.
Set timing at 36 degrees at 2000 rpm's
its computer controlled you cannot set timing on them the computer will either retard timing or advance it the only thing that you can do to mess with timing is move the belt a tooth on the cam gear
That requires the use of an OBDII engine scanner. The timing is electronic controlled and the OLD timing light will not work.
You don't, it is done electronically.
Timing is handled by the computer, there is no adjustment needed.
timing is preset at factory,no adjustments, the sensors send info to pcm to control timing and fuel.
