if its the V6 2.9 liter you just line up the dots on the cam with the dot on the crank, after you do that just turn the motor over a few times by hand just to seat the chain in and then set the timing again, and if its the four banger 2.3 liter im not sure but i can find out, also if you have any questions about the iginition timing just email me back. On the 2.3 and 2.5 with electronic ignition you only need to line up the marks on the cam and on the aux shaft. When changing the belt, note that these pullies are the same. They both have a triangle mark and a diamond shaped mark. The diamond shaped mark needs to align with the diamond shaped mark on the inside belt cover (should be the aux or oil pully). The triangle needs to line up to the triangle (should be on the cam). The alignment of the mark on the aux/oil pully is to provide the cam position sensor alignment and must be right.

I've found that it is a good idea to put a bit of white paint on the marks on the inside belt cover and on the pullies. This makes it easier to verify the alignment when buttoning the engine back up.
