All right triangles inscribed in a circle have their vertices on the circle and the hypotenuse as the circle's diameter. Thus the midpoint of the hypotenuse is the center of the circle nd all points on the circle are eqully as far from the center even so the vertex of the right angle.

Prove that the the line segment joining the midpoint of the hypotenuse of a right triangle to the vertex of the right angle is equal to half the hypotenuse?

Simply by measuring it. Or by drawing a circle with a radius of half the hypotenuse and having the vertex of the right angle as its centre and if the midpoint of the hypotenuse just touches the circle then this proves it.

A triangle is a segment joining a vertex and the midpoint of the side opposite the vertex?

A triangle is not a segment joining a vertex and the midpoint of the side opposite the vertex.

Does a median of a triangle contain the midpoint of the side to which it is drawn?

Yes, the median of a triangle is from a vertex to the midpoint of the side opposite the vertex.

Which line ray or line segment is drawn from a triangles vertex to midpoint of the opposite side?

the median is drawn from the vertex to the midpoint of the opposite side

When a circle is drawn through each vertex of a right triangle the triangles hypotenuse will be equal to what?

The length of the circle's diameter

Are the medians of a triangle equidistant from each vertex?

Every triangle has three medians, just like it has three altitudes, angle bisectors, and perpendicular bisectors. The medians of a triangle are the segments drawn from the vertices to the midpoints of the opposite sides. The point of intersection of all three medians is called the centroid of the triangle. The centroid of a triangle is twice as far from a given vertex than it is from the midpoint to which the median from that vertex goes. For example, if a median is drawn from vertex A to midpoint M through centroid C, the length of AC is twice the length of CM. The centroid is 2/3 of the way from a given vertex to the opposite midpoint. The centroid is always on the interior of the triangle.

Median of equilateral triangle?

It is the line from a vertex of the triangle to the midpoint of the side opposite that vertex.

A line segment whose endpoints are the vertex of the triangle and midpoint of the opposite?

In geometry, a median of a triangle is a line segment joining a vertex to the midpoint of the opposing side.

What is the midpoint of a vertex of triangle?

It is the mid point of the angle

How do you draw the lines of symmetry on a pentagon?

For a regular pentagon, draw a segment from each vertex to the midpoint of the side length directly opposite, there by cutting it in half.

What is a median of a triangle?

A median of a triangle is a line from a vertex of the triangle to the midpoint of the side opposite that vertex.
