Your 'shifter' (on the steering column or floor - between the seats) has to be in 'P' Park or 'N' or it won't start when you turn the key. Your key cylinder switch has to be ok and your battery and your starter. It's probably one of those. I am assuming the car won't 'crank' over, you weren't specific
