First you get 2 pieces of gimp at about 24 inches long. Next you fold each piece in half and it will make a crease ( try folding it a couple of times for it to show up.) Then you get a piece that is your left color (and mine is red) so you fold it over the blue string. After that you go over one and under. Keep repeating it and switch your strings so you don't make a not in your cube. Have fun and teach your friends and convince them to get gimp!

You can start Gimp by going to All Programs and selecting Gimp

To start a circle gimp, begin with finding the center of two pieces of lacing. Then cross the laces and start weaving.

you click on the black box in front of the white box under all the tools.
Do not start looking for Gimp in stores. Gimp is completely free, and easily downloadable right in the related links. If you have a mac, you may have to search for it elsewhere.
Shift + Ctrl + N
Depending on which stitch you want to use, you usually hold 2 pieces of gimp at the middle and start folding the lower strands over the upper ones, then fold them in. See the link for more details
it wood be 2 long to say--but here's a good website for learning some gimp stitches. It's called (you can't google it; you gotta use the big box at the top of the google page next to the googling box) igimp.webs.com.
Right click on the selection, mouse over "Select...", choose "none".
I assume you mean after pasting an image into gimp. Right-click on the layer in the layer box, and click "new layer" that will put the image on it's own layer. Odd wording, I know.
if your making a box, take the four pieces that are left-over and tie a knot on each one
