∙ 18y agoThe question is, are you sure you really want to be friends with your ex? Remember why you left this person and go from there. What has changed? If they have changed could it be because both of you just didn't get along? If you persist on wanting to become friends with your ex (I think you still love him/her) and they aren't dating someone else, then phone him/her and go for a drink or a coffee. Be sure this is what you want! I don't believe in friendship with ex's unless children are involved (I was married before as well) and it's best to move on.

It could depend on why these two men are even together talking and what the situation is. If you have children from your first marriage and your ex husband comes to see them or takes them for the weekend then I can see where your ex and your husband would start talking. It really isn't unheard of that the ex and the husband get along while in the same room or the same crowd. Actually, you're lucky they do and it could be much worse. Still, it's time you told your husband it makes you uncomfortable and discuss this with him, then tell your ex it's time for him to move on other than possibly seeing his children.
