Yes. If the dog is on the furniture, don't acknowledge the behavior but move the dog off the furniture. And then, whenever the dog lies on the floor, praise the dog lavishly--and pet the dog and treat the dog.

Every time you see the bunny chew your furniture say No in a strong firm voice.

Never ever hit a bunny.

For hard furnishings, a very good remedy used for the bunnies here, buy the cheapest hairspray you can find and apply liberally to the furniture being chewed. The bunnies will hate the taste and not chew it.

For soft furnishings, take an unused bar of white soap and rub it on the areas the bunny is chewing. Works in the same way as the hairspray. I've found that another good way is a stick of deodorant.

Please note, you should NEVER on any account physically punish a rabbit with a 'thump' smack etc. They are delicate creatures who are by nature prey animals. All physically hitting them will achieve is to make them afraid of you.

When you first get your puppy, limit him/her to a small amount of room weather its in the middle of your house gradually make it bigger, when you are at home and have time let him/her out around the house for a while then put him or her back. Once used to being round the house keep puppy in space at night but in the day let puppy potter round house. Soon as you feel confident him alone around house at night do so.

Did puppy thrown off cliff stay alive?

A puppy that was thrown off a cliff would probably not be alive. It is generally not a good idea to throw any living thing off a cliff. The chance of survival is extremely low.

Could a decent furniture repair shop replace a wooden leg my dog gnawed off my couch, and if so, for what price?

My puppy gnawed one of the wooden legs off of my couch. Would a competent furniture repair shop be able to fix this for me, and if so, how much do you think it would cost?

What are puppies first solid food?

Of course you can, that is what puppy food is made for. It has everything your puppy needs to stay nice and healthy. I feed my puppy pedigree and he enjoys it and it keeps him healthy. That would be a good idea to start off with. After feed it normal dog food with some water poured on it.

Is there anything you can do about your dog shedding hair beside brushing every day?

Well there are a few things you could do about it, but only two answers are the best.Buy one of the dog hair vacuums. They're handheld, and really get the job done. Also, try to train your dog to not go on the furniture by saying loudly, and in a stern, low voice "OFF!" The dog will either be startled and jump off, hearing the alpha dog in your voice, or it will stay on the furniture. If it does stay there, give it a strong nudge on its behind while repeateing off again. When the dog gets off the furniture, give a treat, praise it, and say "OFF STAY" slowly, the dog will begin to understand. Hope I helped!

What to do if you over feed your puppy?

First off, cut down on the food supply. Resist those begging eyes at the table and refuse to give it any scraps. Walk your puppy more often, it's not only beneficial for the puppy, but you too! When you think your puppy is well trained and old enough, bring it to a dog park. Let it interact with other dogs. Remember, what you feed your dog with affect it, it's whole life. So be careful!

What do you do if your dog pees on your baby?

If your dog is a puppy or isn't fully potty trained it might of been an accident. Or just because the dog is showing that they own it or its their territory. I think you should get the urine off of your baby quick though.

What can you prepare for your 3 month old puppy at home?

Puppy's usually won't be potty trained by this time. Most people deal with this by blocking off the carpet area's of their home with boxes or tables until the puppy is potty trained. The puppy will be teething when it comes home, so having a verity of chew toys is important (Note: Don't let the puppy chew on rocks, it's bad for their teeth). Get small objects away from the puppy's reach, and make sure that all food it placed somewhere so the puppy cannot get to it (puppy's can climb on tables or chairs to get on counters where food is). Get him/her licenced and get a leash. Have a fenced area for him/her to run in at your home/apartment where your puppy can run, or find a park where s/he can play. Some dogs like a doggy bed to sleep in while others prefer to move around the house. But it's always nice to have a doggy bed to see if they want it. Get your puppy a vet to give him/her a checkup make sure s/he has all of his/her shots, and discuss with your vet the amount of food and type of food your puppy should have. Take your puppy back to the vet after a few weeks to make sure your puppy is getting the right amount of food and exercise.

Puppy Training Aids?

For first time owners of a new pet dog, puppy training can seem and indeed be a daunting and frustrating experience. From the inevitable toilet mishaps to chewed furniture, from refuse bags being torn asunder and scattered through the house or garden to simple infuriation at not being able to communicate to your puppy just what is required of it. After the glow of having a cute new puppy has worn off, sometimes it can seem like it’s all too much trouble. Fortunately there is a huge range of aids to help with training your puppy. House breaking pads will help in training the puppy in where is acceptable to relive itself, and save the owners the hassle of continual floor cleaning, once the puppy is accustomed to this the pads can be gradually moved towards where you would like it to take care of it’s business once trained. Stay away sprays train the puppy that certain items such as furniture, shoes, garden accessories are strictly off limits when it comes to relieving those teething problems, saving the owner untold expense in return for a small outlay. Once the puppy reaches 2-3 months old, it will become more adventurous and will need command training to help keep it under control during physical activity. Various whistles, both audible and high frequency are available, some with different pitches, which can be associated with different movement commands. Clickers can also be used for the same purpose. Puppy training aids such as these will help give direction and provide clear means of communication, even over considerable distances. For physically stronger puppies, choke chain harnesses can be used when the puppy tries to continually pull on its leash while being walked, and the puppy will learn to be walked, rather than take its owner for a walk! Another type of collar provides the ability to “remote control” train your puppy that certain behavior is wrong, by means of a radio frequency receiver in the collar, a remote control, and a spray of lemon juice. Used together, these puppy training aids can make teaching your pup more fun and a lot less frustrating!
