There are belt dressings available, but they are messy and need to be repeatedly reapplied. You can try coating the belt with bar soap. That will stop the squealing for awhile. It sounds as though the belt is getting hard and unable to grip the pullys as it should. You should probably replace the belt before it breaks out in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night.

It is built into the cluster and can not be removed. You don't have to remove it. Get on the net and type in "seat belt alarm stop". This is a product you can use on most any car. It clips into the seatbuckle and stops the alarm instantly. Lou B
