On a 2001 b2300 it is located above the transmission and you have to take part of the transmission out to get to it. It cost me 538.00 at the Mazda dealer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you take a Ford Ranger 1994 bed and put it on a 1994 Mazda B2300? Truth be told, they are the same truck. My 1995 B2300 has "Made for Mazda by Ford" on a sticker inside the door of the driver's side. Also, the Chilton's manual for the Mazda B series trucks are the same as the one for the Ford Ranger.
If you have to ask such an obtuse question I suggest you just take to a local shop and have it done.
take em off 1by1 and put them back on after each one you take off

You didnt specify what year.i have a 94 b2300 and had to replace the grill and in order to replace i had to take the front bumper off just to get to dome of the screws.so be prepared.
On the top of the transmission, with a harness headed to it, should be about 3 bolts to take off, then valve comes off... shift solenoids are in there

Mazda recommends 75w-90 weight oil for the manual transmission, changed at 30,000 mile intervals. See http://www.miata.net/garage/maint.html for more information
The Transmission filter is on the Inside of the trans. The only way you can change it is to take trans apart.
This indicates a problem with the transmission. Take it to a professional.
the throw out bearing is located in between the engine and transmission so you must remove the transmission and it will be on a fork holding the the throw out bearing on the transmission but remember that when you take out a tranny you must take out the the oil from it

I do not have any pics of the transmission, but let me give you a small PC of advise: If you are replacing your trans, take it to a "non Mazda Transmission shop". The reason being is that the transmissions in these cars are the same size of those being put into the smaller Mazdas, according to Fayetteville Transmission and a Mazda tech. I was advised to put a heavier transmission in my 92 929 and it has been amazing for years, not one problem. $1800 was my cost. One of the few things to still be going strong on this car!
take it to a mechanic and say, "can you replace the transmission mount on my '94 Ford Escort"
The only tool that is really needed to remove the distributer cap off of 1994 Mazda Protege is a screwdriver. Using this tool will enable you to loosen the cap, and then you can remove it.
Take it to a auto shop and ask them to check the transmission fluid level and watch them then say thanks and buy some fluid.
Installing a standard transmission in a 1994 Chevy z71 is easy. All you have to do is take the old one out and put the new one in and tightening the bolts back.
