do not remove strut bolts instead take lower balljoint loose ,take axle nut loose pulling spindle out as you push in on axle, then pry axle out of trans
you missed a critical NOUN. Tire off of what. the car the rim (wheel) the axle. what?
Its really not that hard take the tire off, take the brake caliper off, take the bolt out off the ball joint (the spindal side) use a pry bar to push down on the control arm remove axle nut. Leave nut flush to end of axle use a hammer to free it from the hub.Once out, use pry bar on the inside off the axle and the trans and jerk it, there is a "C" retainer clip holding it in, also would recomend replacing the axle seal at the same time if its leaking.
take the axle out
take the nut off of the axle disconect the ball joint and pop it out tap the axle out of the hub and u got to pry the other end out of the transmission it could be tricky but that's how it comes out and watch for trans fluid cause it would come out of the tranny
Yes, lipstick may be taken on Delta airlines.
it depends on which model caprice u have. best idea is to take it to a tire shop
Take off the axle nut. The outer tie rod to knuckle nut. Loosen up the small nut holding the strut to the strut tower but don't take them all the way off. Then pry the inner cv jount out off the transmission. You have to hold the strut out of the way too.
The only replacable parts on an axle are the axle boots. The axle constant velocity joints take special equipment to rebuild the half-shafts.
yes
For ease of installation, less problems, more reliabilty when done the rule of thumb is find the same year, make model & engine size (by vin #, 8th digit is engine, 10th is year). and put in exactly what you take out.
