How do you take the doors off 1997 Jeep Wrangler?
There are 2 hinges holding the doors on the body. At the bottom
of each hinge is a nut securing the hinge in place. Simply remove
the nuts with a socket wrench. If you do not want to scratch the
paint, I've found it useful to place a small rubber gasket around
the nut to avoid any unnecessary scratches. Most jeep owners do not
seem to mind the scratches, as most of them just leave them off
after the first removal. There will be a limit strap holding the
door in place. Simply pull up on this strap to remove it from the
hook located inside the jeep. Pull straight up on the doors and
place them on a rug to avoid scratching the paint.
