Well a ps2 is obviously, just a plain ps2. From the ending "multisystem" it sounds like ps2 may be used for more than just Video Games? Like its a system, that can be used for different reasons..

Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2): can play PS2 software, CDs, DVDs, it's backward compatible with PlayStation software, and has online game play capability.
PS1 is an outdated system and is generally no longer supported. Although it is showing it's age, PS2 is still supported by Sony and new consoles, games, and accessories can be purchased at most retailers.

∙ 14y agoThe difference between the playstation 2 and the playstation 3 is that the playstation 3 has better graphic's and has a blu ray DVD player in it.The playstation 2 has none of those but the playstation 2 can play PlayStation games...

∙ 12y agoThe PlayStation was it's name before they needed to number them. Now because some people call the PS3 a PlayStation it really needs the number so everyone will know that you are talking about the older machine. The PlayStation name can be used and is used to mean any of the Sony consoles even if it is not totally accurate.
