on most fuel filters , there is a arrow, when installing the fuel filter, always make sure the arrow is pointing towards carburetor, or towards the front of the engine.
Threaded end goes to carburetor. Fuel flows into 5/16" hose fitting and out threaded end.
If it is the 4.3 carb, the fuel filter is about 2 inches long and located at the end of the fuel line where it goes into the carb. Easy to change, just unscrew the fuel line where it goes into carb and you will see a filter with an orange pleated center.
There should be an arrow on the side of the filter indicating the direction fuel should be traveling in. If there is no arrow then try blowing in one end to see if air travels through. If it does not then turn it around and blow in the other end. whichever end allows u to blow air through is the end that goes on the fuel line coming from your fuel tank.
There are two fuel lines that come out of the fuel tank - one with a filter at the end and one without. The line without the filter goes to the IN port of the prime bulb and continues from the OUT port to the top of the carburetor. The line with the filter goes from the fuel tank to the bottom of the carburetor.
The fuel filter is in the gas tank on the end of the fuel pump.
The fuel filter is at the end of the radio antenae.
This should be the same as the 1989 323; the curved connection is the outlet end to the carb or fuel injector pressure regulator. The straight end connects to the fuel line from the fuel tank. The filter should also have an arrow marked on it for fuel direction flow. Cheers Malcolm He means the curved part goes to the top.
The fuel filter is in the tank attached to the end of the fuel line.
The fuel filter should be stamped on one end or the other "in" or "out". Some filters also have an arrow pointing direction of flow.
There are two lines inside the tank. The short line with no fuel filter on the end of it goes to the inlet, (suction) side of the primer bulb. The long line inside the tank, with the filter on the end goes directly to the fitting on the side of the carburetor. The line, inside the air box from the outlet side of the primer goes to the remaining fuel line fitting on the carburetor. http://store.chainsawr.com/
