Because she has a boyfriend it's best to leave well enough alone. She wouldn't be with him if she didn't have some feelings for him. Most young relationships don't last forever so try and be patient and if she should break up with her boyfriend then you can ask her out on a date.

∙ 13y agoIt is probably best not to tell her at all and try to get over her boyfriend. Who is more important to you and which relationship do you think will last longer? If you do decide to tell her however, be very gentle and apologetic. Do not make excuses for yourself and try to sympathize with how she will feel hearing the news. If she becomes angry or sad, do not respond back in frustration but admit that you feel bad about telling her your feelings.

You could ask to talk to your friend privately. You could say, "Hey, I'm not sure how to say this and I don't want you to be mad at me, but I'm kind of jealous that you're dating _____. He's my EX and hopefully you understand how I'm feeling. You don't have to break up with him or anything, but it's just been really bugging me and I wanted you to know how I feel about all of this."
