If there is no oil pressure guage inside of the truck then you will have to locate your oil pressure sending unit and remove it, which depending on the engine, should be near your distributor. Once you have located and removed you can get an oil pressure gguage for around 10 dollars at any auto parts store. You will have to make sure that you get the proper fitting to adapt the guage to your engine. Hook fitting and guage up in place of the oil sending unit. The guage should come with enough line on it to either run it inside of the vehicle to mount it, or if you are just checking the pressure one time then set the guage out of the way of the engine, start engine and check for any leaks. Oil pressure guage should give an accurate reading of pressure while running. Oil "dummy" light may or may not come on while engine is running. This can be disregarded as long as you have a good oil pressure reading at the guage.
