You can set it out to thaw, but you risk ending up with a soggy crust. If possible, it's best to bake a frozen apple pie straight from the freezer, but using a temperature of 350F for up to 1 hour - though it may be less time, just check on it regularly to look for a nice browned colour on the crust to know if it's baked long enough
